Born in Japan, Gentoku Yamada is a filmmaker and director based in Osaka. A member of H.O.P. production (惑星舎), he works across live-action filmmaking and generative AI.
Through fantasy, science fiction, and dark humor, his work explores social systems, loneliness, and the quiet absurdities of everyday life.
His short film HUMAN FARM was selected for INTERFILM – International Short Film Festival Berlin. His feature film project D.M.S. - The Empty Seat was named a Top 10 Official Selection at the Future Vision XPRIZE 2026.
